Hide My IP - Android App Review. Every kind of device or computer that goes online has an IP address, a kind of virtual identifier that is usually unique to the device. There is quite a lot of information one can deduce about a device from its IP, starting from the device's country right, whether the device is surfing the net using a cellular data plan or through a WiFi connection.

Another thing that can be deduced is the device's exact locale, right down to a city or neighborhood, if the device uses WiFi connection. In fact, Google has an extensive map of existing WiFi hot spots, making it possible to narrow down the location to the specific bar or cafe your are sitting in while surfing the web.  

There are a lot of reasons why someone would want to hide or mask the IP he or she is surfing from, and in most free countries there is nothing wrong with changing your IP (take care: we are not lawyers and out opinion cannot be used a legal advice ...). 

Hide My IP is a highly regarded app that does exactly that. Is it any good?

Like we always do, we gave the app to our small host of reviewers and waited for their responses. 

First of all we were interested in ease of operation and the interface, since what Hide My IP does is quite complicated as it reroutes our data traffic to proxy servers across the world to hide our IP, and we were afraid of overly complicated user interface that will allow only professional and tech people to use the app.

However, we were pleasantly surprised to discover the app actually was VERY simple to operate. Just install it, run it, select the country and the proxy you wish to use and presto, you're ready to go. All the complicated stuff is performed where you cannot see it, which is fine by us.

But does this thing really work? Well, that answer to that is a resounding yes. We tried quite a lot of different websites that check your IP and they were all fooled by the app. Including Amazon,Pandora, Netflix, Hulu and more. They all worked like a charm. 

And what about the downsides? There were two things we were afraid off but the app handles both easily. The first thing is problems that might occur when we stop running the app or uninstall and the second thing is lags and delays because of rerouting our traffic.

 

On both accounts, the app worked beautifully. We detected no problem when the app was closed down and we resumed normal surfing and there was a small lag when using the app, but selecting fast proxies in the USA and Canada made the lags so small they were hard to notice.

It is the considered opinion of the vast majority of our reviewers that Hide My IP works beautifully, hiding the device's IP completely and it uses a simple user interface that allows everyone to use the app, not just tech savvy people. In addition, lagging and delays are VERY small.

• Score: 4.5. Great app. It would be perfect when future updates will contain the feature to change your device's MAC address.
• Description: A app that reroutes your device's data to a proxy, in effect hiding your device's IP address. 
• Good Points: Easy to understand user interface. A lot of proxies and countries to choose from. Almost no delays in communication.
• Bad Points: No option to change our MAC address.
• Experience: The app is so easy to operate that everyone had it up and running in seconds. Choosing a good proxy is a little trickier but everyone found a proxy they were happy with in a manner of minutes.
• Longevity: For those who love their privacy or wanting to use services like Pandora unavailable in their country, this app became a must for their smartphone.

Fatal Fall by GAMELIC SRL - Android App Review. Android smartphones are there not only to provide communications and mobile office services but to entertain us. Entertainment can be consuming some media file (a music or video) or just playing a game.

We can broadly divide game into two types. There are the huge, complicated, empire building, massively online, strategic, plan intensive game that require an hour of setup, resource building and factory allocations just to get things rolling and there are the simpler, rapid and instant gratification games.

"Instant gratifications" (not what you are thinking!) are games we can run and play for three minutes before the next appointment, while waiting for the bus or waiting for the kid to finally free the bathroom. These are games that don't require massive setup and preparations to play. 

Fatal Fall is a platform game that falls exactly into the instant gratification genres. But does it really gratify?

What is Fatal Fall all about? Jack who had a little too much to drink falls down an endless pit. He must avoid obstacles while falling and reach and collect power-ups. Control is through two arrows on the sides of the screen and during the game the rate of descent and the overall difficulty of the game increases.

We gave the game to our loyal crowd of reviewers and sat back and waited for their reports. As usual, some of our reviewers are more tech savvy and some less, some younger and some older.

The first thing almost all reviewers reported was that the game was fun and funny, which is not really a common occurrence. The story of the game, the character of Jack itself and the nature of his plight is quite funny and makes for very pleasant and fun game play. No blowing up, no violence and no resource collecting.

Game play itself was also very simple. Just move Jack from side to side to avoid the obstacles and swim over (through air) to reach the power-ups. However, it must be remembered that game becomes harder and the speed of falling increases so the player must plan ahead to see where Jack will end up in.

The stages are fairly long and winding and the player must remember to time his movements and power-up usage to allow Jack to successfully pass over the whole stage. The player must keep his or her edge and remember that the game becomes harder. Don't letup till it's over!

Most of our reviewers enjoyed themselves immensely playing Fatal Fall. The game is fun, simple to understand and operate (no one had any problem playing) and the gradual increase in difficulty allows everyone to get used to the game and give a good account of themselves even on the tougher levels.

• Score: 4.7. It would be a 5.0 when an update with more levels and more types of levels appear (levels on the sea, flying up, space etc).
• Description: A platform game with a falling down character that must survive it's plummet down. 
• Good Points: Simple and easy game play. Funny story and lot's of humor. Very easy to learn. Great difficulty curve (i.e. the rate the game becomes tougher).
• Bad Points: No tilt controls.
• Experience: All our reviewers found the game easy to understand and operate.The simplicity of the game does not detract from it's fun or challenge in the later stages.
• Longevity: Most kept the game installed as it is great way to pass a few minutes while waiting for something, or just wanting to have a fun quick game.

About a month ago we wrote a review of Stress Reliver - Letting Go by Dolor Soderbom, here. Now, more than a month later, we would like to do something we hardly ever did on Android Review Center and come back to our reviewers, the same people who tried out the app. It is now almost two months since they started using this app.

Why do we think Letting Go is so important we dedicate another article to it? Well, the answer is quite simple. Letting Go by Dolor Soderbom is an app that is supposed to fight stress, i.e. help reduce stress and tension of the app user, and we actually think this is vitally important.

Stress is a actually an epidemic in the modern Western World. Almost everyone suffers from it, starting from the clerk at the bottom of the hierarchy who just has to answer calls to the CEO at the very top of the organization. The clerk will be worried about his or her job security, performance and his or her ability to pay the rent next month while the CEO will be worried sick, just making sure his or her company delivers the kind of performance the stock holders demand.

Station, wealth and job are no guarantee against stress. It is actually quite the opposite, with people ranking near the top of the hierarchy usually actually suffer more from stress.

And stress can kill. Just ask any doctor what is the connection between stress and illness such as hypertension, overweight and consumption of drugs and alcohol. All of these kill, especially if they are done without moderation, as the result of stress. Heart problems and strokes, heaven forbid, can also be the result of too much stress.

So, how do you combat stress? There are some classical methods, mostly from the far east. TaiChi Chuan is one classic effective methods of fighting stress. Meditations and Yoga are also quite good at reducing stress. Of course, the main drawback of these methods are the long time a practitioner has to practice in order to achieve some success. Think in terms of years ...

So, what does the Letting Go app suggest? The app is quite simple although it is based on quite complex principles. In order to user Letting Go properly, the user must dedicate half an hour each day of just sitting down in a quiet environment and listen to the techniques Tod MacLaren narrates in the app.  

So, we talked to our reviewers almost two months after starting using the app and we wanted to know and understand what they could tell us about the effects the app had on them.

Reviewers told us they felt calmer. Of course this is a subjective feeling but it no doubt a step in the right direction. Of course we didn't measure blood pressure when the reviewers started using the app and now, but some reported that their friends had remarked that our reviewers now talked less and had less need to raise their voices.

Some reviewers reported that they were now much more aware of stress, its causes and its effects in their lives. That awareness enabled them to feel when their were entering a stressful state and prevent it or lessen its effects. One reviewer said he had a long talk with his boss and changed some of his boss behavior that had him stressed out before.

Other reviewers said that all they needed to do now was recall Tod MacLaren's voice in some stressful situation and MacLaren's narration, even if it was in the imagination at the time helped them handle the stressful situation better.

Android Review Center is not a psychological evaluation center and thus cannot scientifically testify whether Letting Go does what it is supposed to. However, our reviewers were quite enthusiastic about it and reported some major gains in the fight against stress, not to mention much greater awareness of it.

Anyone who had the pleasure of upgrading from a simple 'dumb' phone to a full fledged Android smartphone feels like that Victorian era people who came out of the woods in M. Night Shyamalan's movie right into an eight lane super highway.

That's not some idle metaphor but it is the truth in more ways than one. An Android smartphone (yeah, all right, the other kinds too) is an endpoint to the entire Internet. In other words, the user of a smartphone has at his or her possession the (almost) the entire sum of all human knowledge, from wikipedia to CNN to Techcruch to sports news to entertainment news and info.

And that's exactly the problem. How would someone handle all that data on a screen a few inch across? Even on tablets, with relatively larger screens, how would a user know which pools of knowledge should he dip into?

This is why they make and we review an app called Gem Wear KeyPoints.

What does Gem Wear KeyPoints do? It is quite simple but no less useful for that. Gem Wear KeyPoints condenses, updates and presents the headlines of major blogs, news websites and other information sources. Every headline presents a condensed version of the information with the touch of a finger.

In addition, Gem Wear KeyPoints is smartwatch compatible. It presents the headlines on the background of the watch, with interrupting in anyway to the normal presentation of the time and various notifications. With the touch of a finger, the app opens up and its full display is shown with condensed versions of the various newscasts and blogs updates.

Even though not all of our reviewers have smartwatches yet, all have smartphones and all downloaded the app, experienceing it as it works on their devices, from smartwatches to mid range smartphones, to company flagships and finally various tablets.

First of all, we'll talk about our reviewers' impressions from the app's display.First of all, Gem Wear Keypoints displays a status bar with a notification from new info sources, blogs, news websites and other sites as to which if any new articles have appeared. Our reviewers loved the fact that this notification status does not interfere with the display of even tiny smartwatches.

Next, the reviewers liked the way the news item, or gem as the developers of the app called them, appear. For any news item, a short and descritpive headline appears, with just enough information to make the user understand what the news item is all about. Next, a series of labels appear, labels that connect the news item to other news items and makes the user instantly understang the grouping of the topic, whether it is about sports, or economics, or middle eastern news or other type of topic.

Finally, the app displays the start of the news item text itself, using as much or little space it's got on the device it is installed on. Our smartwatch users were very pleased with the result that allowed them to understand in a glance if the new item has any interest for them, even on tiny smartwatch displays.

Last but not least is the collection editing feature, that also works through the app's website, here. The user gets to manage collections of news sources, selecting which websites and which types of information the user will be presented with, in a way all our reviewers had no difficulty managing, even though some are far from being tech savy.

It is the conclusion of an overwhelming amount of our reviewers that Gem Wear KeyPoints does exactly what it supposed to do, i.e. Present to the user a condesned display of news items (gems) and a enough info to let the use decide if and when he or she wants to read more about it or just push it our of his or her way.

• Score: 4.8. We would have given it a straight 5.0 but for the word "gem" which appears on every news item and takes up valuable place..
• Description: A news items display app that shows news items according to an editable collection and works on smartwatches.  
• Good Points: Editable collection list. Short, condensed display with labels. A huge variety of display items. The ability to add new news items sources.
• Bad Points: Just a small nagging thing, the word "gem" appearing every time and taking up valuable display area.
• Experience: Using the app is simplicity itself. No one had any problem. Configuring the collections of the news sources was a little more complicated but everyone managed.   
• Longevity: Very long, for all those who need the sports, coocking, news or economy news all the time.

Final Countdown - timer by thangbom - Android App Review. Android smartphones (and some people claim the other kind of smartphones too ...) are there to make our lives better. Well, actually they exist to bring their makers a lot of money but WE should use them to make our lives better. Nowadays, with our busy lives that are filled with events, happenings and deadlines, managing our timetable has never been so difficult and so important.

Now, calendar apps have existed for some time now, from Google Calendar to many more calendar apps, with some that have been reviewed on Android Review Center. All of them, however, suffer from the same problem. Let us explain. At first, when starting to use the app, all is fine. Then, you start to get notifications. And more notifications. And then even more. Soon, you start to automatically ignore these notifications and that's what makes your calendar app ineffective. Because, if you ignore notifications, what good is your calendar app? And more importantly, how will you manage your timetables now?

Well, to solve all of these problems, we introduce Final Countdown, a timer based calendar app.

What does Final Countdown do? It is a calendar app with all of the features we have come to expect from calendar apps. The user can put in as many events as he or she wants. The user can create recurring events, and edit and delete all the events he wants. Of course, Final Countdown also creates notifications for events, just as regular calendar apps do.

What makes Final Countdown different? Final Countdown is all about a timers that come in myriad shapes and sizes, we several skins and a few sizes of widgets to be placed on the smartphone's homescreen. The timer counts down to the selected events and shows us exactly how much time do we have till the event or happening begins.

We launched our small veteran army of app reviewers at the app and made them download and install the app on their smartphones, making sure they'll use Final Countdown as their main calendar app, transfering all their events to it. Then, we leaned back and waited for their reports.

Before checking out and reporting about special features, the first thing that should be mentioned is that the app is very easy to operate. Adding, editing and deleting events is very easy. Selecting widgets and changing their appearance, their skins and their background image was very easy indeed.

Now, for the timer functionality, which is the main difference between Final Countdown and other calendar apps. Our reviewers reported that having a timer on the homepage makes forgetting events and tasks much harder, because you SEE what event is next and how much time before it starts.

Our reviewers suggested changing the skin of the timer from event to event. This makes keeping track of events very easy because the change of the skin makes you pay attention to the timer every time you use your smartphone, which is the main fuction desired, i.e. not losing track of when an event is about to begin.

Another popular tip was creating events for tasks, such as passing through the grocery on the way back from work. Just create an event, time it just after work and the timer of Final Countdown will alert you to the fact you have to go to the grocery after work.

Another powerful feature of Final Countdown is changing the background image of the timer. Fearful of forgetting your spouse's birthday? Fear no more! Just put his or her image on the timer's background and you'll have a constant reminder that will save you from embarrassment and a lot of explanations ...

To sum things up, Final Countdown was well liked by our reviewers for its flexibilty, it's many different timer skins and options. Well worth a try by those who manage their timetables through their smartphones.

• Score: 5.0. Stable and feature rich.
• Description: A feature rich calendar app with a precise and very visible timer widgets.  
• Good Points: Automatic timezones. Custom alarm ringtones. Customizable timers. Selectable skins. Changing background images. Many fonts. Synchronization with Google Calendar.

• Experience: Learning to use the app was very simple, even more advanced features such as setting up ringtones, skins and background images.

There are platform games, a type of arcade games where you have to move a character from place to place but Sand Slides is another kind of arcade game altogether.

Sand Slides is an arcade game, because you have to react and move fast but it is in fact a thinking game where you have to think and plan your way through situations or you'll fail altogether. This marks a strong difference between Sand Slides and common arcade games. In Sand Slides, you have not only to act fast but think faster.

The premise of NiceIQ is pretty simple. The player gets three sets of funnels with colored sand inside. The sand starts to fall down, one funnel after the other, and the player must draw slides in the air to guide the colored sand to the correct chute, or lost points till the player will lose the game.

To make matters worse and create a real challenge, the funnels change place occasionally making red sand fall into a blue chute underneath it and the slides themselves fade over time, so the player has a limited time with it and must take care of it before the slide will disappears and dump the sand into the wrong chute.

We gave the game to our reviewers to check out and leaned back to wait for their reports. Usually good arcade games get a lot of support so we weren't worried. Indeed, we had really no reason to.

The first thing a lot of our reviewers reported that it was very pleasant playing a game with no violence. We are usually so busy shooting at things on the screen, launching missiles and bombs and in general creating havoc that it was great finally playing a game where we didn't have to shoot anyone.

Another thing our reviewers liked was the game's atmosphere. Sand Slides has a moving ocean background, with live waves, and its background music is slow and soothing. All of this created a game that our reviewers loved to play over and over again.

As to to game itself, our reviewers found it both fun and challenging. The start is pretty easy but pretty soon the game becomes much harder as the sand funnels change place and the slides start to waver out of existence.

Our reviewers did hand out some tips to those trying this game for the first time. Remember you can make bottles to hold up sand while sand of another color is being passed right beneath. Remember you can make another bottle beneath the first one, even before it vanishes. Finally, you can make a set of bottles to keep the sand up till you manage things.

To sum things up, Sand Slides was well received by our reviewers, who liked its challenging game play, coupled with its relaxed and soothing atmosphere.

NiceIQ - Brain Training Expert by Depthlink - Android App Review. We've always said that puzzles help develop one's brain, from cognitive ability to problem solving skills to speed thinking, but it was always a secondary function of the puzzle app. 

So, those puzzles were actually there for our Android smartphones to let us enjoy ourselves, and a secondary function or purpose was to better ourselves.

NiceIQ is a puzzle app whose purpose is not to entertain us but to sharpen our mind and our thinking, our speed and to improve our problem solving skill. This is the main thing NiceIQ claims to do. In order to do that, this app has a large number of puzzles of different types, all designed to make us practice a different aspect of our brain.

The premise of NiceIQ is pretty simple, but it's not actually something we really think about. We understand the concept of the gym. We go there, work on our abs, perform drills and cardio, and in time our abs will grow stronger and more pronounced, along with the rest of our body. Work a muscle and it will go stronger.

NiceIQ works along the same principles, but applies them to our mind. This app presents a changing sequence of puzzles to our brain, which are actually drills to make our mind stronger, faster and a better thinker. The idea is that doing the mental exercises presented by NiceIQ would have the same effect of doing drill would have for our muscles.

We at Android Review Center do not have to necessary tools to ascertain if NiceIQ does what it supposes to do, since it's a lot harder than to review an app that promises free long distance messages or a new type of social network or game. However, we do have quite a number of reviewers and we can tell you of their impressions from this app and we will actually explain how to find out what effect this app has.

Our reviewers all were quite impressed from the quality of the puzzles. They start off simple and get more complicated and more difficult as you progress through the app. The variety of puzzles is also quite impressive, with different puzzles concentrating on different functions of the brain, like different gym drills intended for different muscles.

NiceIQ also has the feature of selecting which type of training you desire most, or need most for work, and concentrate on that. Some of our reviewers tried that while others went with the general program. All reported that the puzzles become more difficult as user progressess through the levels of this app.

Now, our reviewers had several tips of getting the most out of NiceIQ. First of all, this is all about practice, so make yourself a habit of spending 5 to 10 minutes daily with the app. Secondly, try to make sure that when you do the puzzles, you are not distracted by TV, spouse, kids or anything else. Last but not least, work with the app the same time every day, whether it is at morning or evening to get the best results.

NiceIQ has a great graph showing the user how he or she improved in solving the puzzles, based upon date and time. This means that the user can actually judge the progress he or she made with the puzzles and see the results for himself or herself. Let us tell you, most of our reviewers were quite surprise with the progress they made as some of the puzzles are quite hard.

To sum things up, NiceIQ is a puzzle solving app that trains your brain in a unique puzzle training regime which can be checked and monitored.

• Experience: Operating the app and starting the training regime was clear and simple, leaving the challenge where it's supposed to be, in solving the puzzles.   
• Longevity: Some reviewers took the training regime seriously, working out regularly with the puzzles. Others found it as a pleasant and challenging pastime that is not a click-fest.

PickCrafter by fiveamp - Android App Review. We love exploring games. There's nothing to it. Nothing beats mopping up a level, finding all the secret things and treasure hidden there, checking achievements ladder to really make sure we found everything that was to be found there and then experiencing the rush as we finally reached a new and unknown level to explore. 
  

PicCrafter is an exploring game with a simple interface but quite complex game play and large levels. The player gets to use different kinds of picks to mine his way through a level (or biome as they are called in game), searching for treasure and souped up gear and powerups to help the player long his or her way. After the player mine enough blocks of the correct type, he or she can then move to the next biome to start excavating there.

The various powerup and gear can be bought in exchange for resources or they can be found in treasure chests. The player can find fire and other tool to help him or her excavate faster. Different biomes need different types of resources to unlock, such as iron and obsidian. There are also special sets of tools and armor like the emerald set to be achieved after pretty much work and excavation.

We launched our reviewers at the app and waited for their input. Quite surprisingly, most reviewers had a good time playing this game even though some of our people are not usually overly enthusiastic about games but PickCrafter's excavation and game play was both addictive and fun (yeah, you CAN have one without the other).

Like we usually do, we'll start with the interface. The game is fairly easy to understand and play, needing only a touch or a swipe to break a brick to find the treasure or resources hidden inside it. Finding the way around the game was also easy for most of our reviewers, as was using and understanding the various upgrades, shopping for items and even the in-app purchases for the reviewers who wanted to move faster.

Our reviewers also mostly liked the graphics and visual aspect of the game. It is not space-age graphics and HD detailed scenery but the game is not about space age. It is a game of mining and delving deep into things and the graphics have obviously been carefully tailored to the game's theme. Space age graphics are often quite tiring after a while but our reviewers reported that even after hours of play, they did not experience any tiredness. 

Like we said earlier, the vast majority of our reviewers found the game soothing and fun, even after hours of play. The game becomes quite challenging as finding the right resources, such as 750 blocks of obsidian to unlock the Nether can be quite hard. Nevertheless, our reviewers mostly stuck with it, using any spare moment to mine for the missing resources.

The various power ups were also generally liked by our reviewers, both for their effects, like the fire and the ease of mining it grants and the various tool and armor sets. According to our reviewers, the placement of the various power ups was just right, not too common to take away from the challenge and not to far away to make searching for power ups frustrating.

In conclusion, our reviewers liked this game. It is not a fighting or war game with exciting, rings and bells but kinda like a simulator of life, of hard work, of achievements and striving to make one's place better in life. It is addictive and perfect to play when a few more free minutes are available between meetings, appointments and work ... Perfect for casual play. 

Of course, if the player has the time, immersing oneself in the world of PickCrafter is all that more enjoyable for the lack of monsters and battles, which is a fresh approach in our violence laden society these days.

• Good Points: Good solid game. Lack of violence. Great resource system. Interesting and varied powerups. Advancements system of biomes. Optimized graphics. Not too difficult.
• Bad Points: None really. We would have liked to have a more elaborate exchange system. Perhaps a multiplayer system would have been welcomed.
• Experience: The game's interface is simple and easy enough to understand, making delving into the game quick and effortless.

Advanced Stock Screener by Scratchdisk Software - Android App Review. People who trade and otherwise work the stock market know that sometimes the catch is finding the right stocks at exactly the right time. Timing is everything, especially when it concerns the stock market. 

Advanced Stock Screener is a stock market app that aims to bring to the user exactly the stocks he or she is interested in, according to his won watch list and strategy, whether it according to dividends or whether the user is looking for high flying stocks, or even different types of cap values. 

How does Advanced Stock Screener work? With this app, the user picks or defines a watchlist of stocks divided into sectors, such as NASDAQ 100, then picks a strategy to screen the stocks, selecting between cap values, dividend values and more and then the app produces a list of stocks that have passed the screening. A tap on a stock will bring a very informative information about it, from price to earnings growth to price to book ratio, and much more. 

We had our reviewers download the app for reviews and impressions. In fact, not all our reviewers trade stocks or are interesting in stocks in general, but we even had a few reviewers who were totally new to the stock market try the app, something that made us happy since we could get opinions from experiences and newbies in the stock market business.

Like we usually do, we'll start with the interface. All our reviewers were quite happy with that, as the interface simplifies things by taking the user from option to option and concentrates only the relevant information to that stage on screen. This makes for a large number of clicks for selecting screening policy but it is VERY clear to the user. Like we said, our reviewers liked it.

Our more experiences reviewers were quite happy with the strategy building options as they were able to build strategies that enabled the app to show them the stocks they thought interesting according to their private investment policies. Of course, this is the main strength of Advanced Stock Screener, presenting the user with the stocks her or she is interested in, screening those that aren't interesting.  

All of our reviewers were quite happy both with the selection of watch lists and stock sources and the amount of information that app presents about each stock, making buying and selling quite simple since you get all the info you need and you only need to contact your broker to perform the stock market actions you are interested in. 

Our reviewers were also pleased at the amount of default screening strategies present, as they could select a useful existing screening strategy instead of building one, and more often than not, those screening strategies were also very successful buying and selling strategies, with the app indicating the interesting stocks automatically. 

The online sharing center for watch lists and screening strategies was very useful as people new to the stock market could start understanding what the professional were looking for and gain useful insights and even the professionals looked through the online strategies to get hints and clues and sometimes get a tip to look for something they haven't thought to try so far.

Last and not least, unlike many apps, the makers of Advanced Stock Screener are actually listening to what their users have to say and on two occasions made changes and added some new features to the app according to their users request, without knowning they were actually reviewing the app.

In conclusion, Advanced Stock Screener is a very useful tool, with a simple to operate interface that serves to help both the advanced and the beginer stock market traders with narrowing down and finding the stocks that interest them.

Satisfi - Android App Review. Every one of us is a customer. There's no one who doesn't need to buy a product or service from time to time, except those people who wear loincloths and swing through trees and even they need to buy their loincloths or to buy the tools to make one, at the very least. 

Some of us are also product and service providers, sellers of goods, in addition to being customers ourselves. Whichever role we play at the moment, we always aim to make our customer and seller experience better. Satisfi is an app that aims to make that happen, and we don't need anything except our Android smartphones (or the other kind ...)

How does Satisfi work? It works on the simple principle that receiving reviews and comments from customers is the thing that can make the seller provide a better experience and products.

Of course, to make this process true and free of constraints it is totally anonymous. Everyone of us has that lurking fear that if we tell the seller at the coffee shop how to improve his service, he'll just leave us something nasty in our coffee but if it's an anonymous tip, he won't know who gave it and will not be able to retaliate, even if he's that kind of person. He'll have to improve his service.

We launched our reviewers which all downloaded the app and started working. In fact, they all just went on about their lives with the app resting installed on their smartphones, waiting for the right moment to be used.

Actually, the app provides two different kinds of service, for customers and sellers. We concentrated on the customer side of things.

Our reviewers were very happy with the speed and ease of using Satisfi. It is quite evident that if customers will have to navigate and wrestle with complex screens and menus to leave a review, they just won't do it. But Satisfi is simple and quick to operate. Our reviewers liked the way you enter your location, select the business you want to review and presto, review away.

Our reviewers all commented that the app presents a lot of useful menu items to select for every kind of business establishment, from the waitresses behavior at a restaurant to various delivery problems with a delivery service.  

Of course, our more meticulous reviewers were happy to receive a comments section at the second stage of entering a review, where they could leave a free review, not limited to preloaded menu items. Not all reviewers used this option but it is nice to have.

Another very useful feature is the ability to post the review as a social media status update. However, our reviewers found it necessary to hide their identity when giving bad reviews, which means that the reviewers will appear only on Satisfi's social media accounts. However, the reviewers had no problem with good reviewers appearing on their private social media accounts.


We received several tips from our reviewers. First of all, if a business doesn't appear on the app's business list, you can always invite it to join. For the sellers and service providers, we can only urge them to join the service (it costs some money ...) as this can be a great way to receive honest reviews about your service. If not, check the app's social media accounts for reviews about your business.

Last and not least, the app makers promise a monetary award for anyone who gets a business to join the program. A classic win-win situation.

In conclusion, Satisfi is an app that revolves around the win-win situation, where customers can leave reviewers about a service provider and the service provider can receive them and improve his service.

• Good Points: A great and necessary idea! Very simple and quick to operate. Anonymous reviews. Getting money when businesses join after you invite them to.

• Experience: The vast majority found using Satisfi to be quick and simple, even adopting the habit to leave a review whenever they use a new business.
