What does Gem Wear KeyPoints do? It is quite simple but no less useful for that. Gem Wear KeyPoints condenses, updates and presents the headlines of major blogs, news websites and other information sources. Every headline presents a condensed version of the information with the touch of a finger.

In addition, Gem Wear KeyPoints is smartwatch compatible. It presents the headlines on the background of the watch, with interrupting in anyway to the normal presentation of the time and various notifications. With the touch of a finger, the app opens up and its full display is shown with condensed versions of the various newscasts and blogs updates.

Even though not all of our reviewers have smartwatches yet, all have smartphones and all downloaded the app, experienceing it as it works on their devices, from smartwatches to mid range smartphones, to company flagships and finally various tablets.

First of all, we'll talk about our reviewers' impressions from the app's display.First of all, Gem Wear Keypoints displays a status bar with a notification from new info sources, blogs, news websites and other sites as to which if any new articles have appeared. Our reviewers loved the fact that this notification status does not interfere with the display of even tiny smartwatches.

Next, the reviewers liked the way the news item, or gem as the developers of the app called them, appear. For any news item, a short and descritpive headline appears, with just enough information to make the user understand what the news item is all about. Next, a series of labels appear, labels that connect the news item to other news items and makes the user instantly understang the grouping of the topic, whether it is about sports, or economics, or middle eastern news or other type of topic.

Finally, the app displays the start of the news item text itself, using as much or little space it's got on the device it is installed on. Our smartwatch users were very pleased with the result that allowed them to understand in a glance if the new item has any interest for them, even on tiny smartwatch displays.

Last but not least is the collection editing feature, that also works through the app's website, here. The user gets to manage collections of news sources, selecting which websites and which types of information the user will be presented with, in a way all our reviewers had no difficulty managing, even though some are far from being tech savy.

It is the conclusion of an overwhelming amount of our reviewers that Gem Wear KeyPoints does exactly what it supposed to do, i.e. Present to the user a condesned display of news items (gems) and a enough info to let the use decide if and when he or she wants to read more about it or just push it our of his or her way.

• Experience: Using the app is simplicity itself. No one had any problem. Configuring the collections of the news sources was a little more complicated but everyone managed.

Well, actually they exist to bring their makers a lot of money but WE should use them to make our lives better. Nowadays, with our busy lives that are filled with events, happenings and deadlines, managing our timetable has never been so difficult and so important.

Now, calendar apps have existed for some time now, from Google Calendar to many more calendar apps, with some that have been reviewed on Android Review Center. All of them, however, suffer from the same problem. Let us explain. At first, when starting to use the app, all is fine. Then, you start to get notifications. And more notifications. And then even more. Soon, you start to automatically ignore these notifications and that's what makes your calendar app ineffective. Because, if you ignore notifications, what good is your calendar app? And more importantly, how will you manage your timetables now?

Well, to solve all of these problems, we introduce Final Countdown, a timer based calendar app.

What does Final Countdown do? It is a calendar app with all of the features we have come to expect from calendar apps. The user can put in as many events as he or she wants. The user can create recurring events, and edit and delete all the events he wants. Of course, Final Countdown also creates notifications for events, just as regular calendar apps do.

What makes Final Countdown different? Final Countdown is all about a timers that come in myriad shapes and sizes, we several skins and a few sizes of widgets to be placed on the smartphone's homescreen. The timer counts down to the selected events and shows us exactly how much time do we have till the event or happening begins.

We launched our small veteran army of app reviewers at the app and made them download and install the app on their smartphones, making sure they'll use Final Countdown as their main calendar app, transfering all their events to it. Then, we leaned back and waited for their reports.

Before checking out and reporting about special features, the first thing that should be mentioned is that the app is very easy to operate. Adding, editing and deleting events is very easy. Selecting widgets and changing their appearance, their skins and their background image was very easy indeed.

Now, for the timer functionality, which is the main difference between Final Countdown and other calendar apps. Our reviewers reported that having a timer on the homepage makes forgetting events and tasks much harder, because you SEE what event is next and how much time before it starts.

Our reviewers suggested changing the skin of the timer from event to event. This makes keeping track of events very easy because the change of the skin makes you pay attention to the timer every time you use your smartphone, which is the main fuction desired, i.e. not losing track of when an event is about to begin.

Another popular tip was creating events for tasks, such as passing through the grocery on the way back from work. Just create an event, time it just after work and the timer of Final Countdown will alert you to the fact you have to go to the grocery after work.

Another powerful feature of Final Countdown is changing the background image of the timer. Fearful of forgetting your spouse's birthday? Fear no more! Just put his or her image on the timer's background and you'll have a constant reminder that will save you from embarrassment and a lot of explanations ...

To sum things up, Final Countdown was well liked by our reviewers for its flexibilty, it's many different timer skins and options. Well worth a try by those who manage their timetables through their smartphones.

Oy shows us all the available people nearby and we can start up a conversation with them, without having to know their phone number of email address in advance. Just like in real life. With Oy, we can communicate with anybody but again, just like in real life, whether the conversation will continue depends solely on what we say and do.

What good is it? Why does communicating this easily is good for us? First of all, we can start covnersations with people we don't know, such as moving in to a new neighborhood and easily and simply saying hi to all our new neighborhood. When shopping or in a mall, we can just send messages to people whether they have seen our kid who wandered off or if anyone knows where's that scarf sale going on.

Oy has all the functionality of any messenger, including the ability to make chat rooms, quickly start a conversation with a lot of people, turn our messages or rooms private or send media files to anyone, making it fairly easy to send a beautiful flower or a cute kitten to the girl next door we always were afraid to talk to.

In conclusion, Oy is a new messenger whose very useful twist on things is starting talks with anyone, based on geographic proximity. Quite useful and even more important, this app has quite a refreshing look on things.

Sand Slides is an arcade game, because you have to react and move fast but it is in fact a thinking game where you have to think and plan your way through situations or you'll fail altogether. This marks a strong difference between Sand Slides and common arcade games. In Sand Slides, you have not only to act fast but think faster.

The premise of NiceIQ is pretty simple. The player gets three sets of funnels with colored sand inside. The sand starts to fall down, one funnel after the other, and the player must draw slides in the air to guide the colored sand to the correct chute, or lost points till the player will lose the game.

To make matters worse and create a real challenge, the funnels change place occasionally making red sand fall into a blue chute underneath it and the slides themselves fade over time, so the player has a limited time with it and must take care of it before the slide will disappears and dump the sand into the wrong chute.

We gave the game to our reviewers to check out and leaned back to wait for their reports. Usually good arcade games get a lot of support so we weren't worried. Indeed, we had really no reason to.

The first thing a lot of our reviewers reported that it was very pleasant playing a game with no violence. We are usually so busy shooting at things on the screen, launching missiles and bombs and in general creating havoc that it was great finally playing a game where we didn't have to shoot anyone.

Another thing our reviewers liked was the game's atmosphere. Sand Slides has a moving ocean background, with live waves, and its background music is slow and soothing. All of this created a game that our reviewers loved to play over and over again.

As to to game itself, our reviewers found it both fun and challenging. The start is pretty easy but pretty soon the game becomes much harder as the sand funnels change place and the slides start to waver out of existence.

Our reviewers did hand out some tips to those trying this game for the first time. Remember you can make bottles to hold up sand while sand of another color is being passed right beneath. Remember you can make another bottle beneath the first one, even before it vanishes. Finally, you can make a set of bottles to keep the sand up till you manage things.

To sum things up, Sand Slides was well received by our reviewers, who liked its challenging game play, coupled with its relaxed and soothing atmosphere.
