Then compare this to the ones in the manufacturer’s website to determine if there is an update available. If there is an update available download it to your computer first.

How to Upgrade Digital Camera Firmware – Step by Step Guide.

First and foremost make sure you have a fully charged battery in your camera.
Format a memory card in your camera.
Copy the firmware update that you downloaded to the memory card you formatted. Make sure you are copying it to the card’s root (not inside any folders).
Insert the memory card in your digital camera, now go to update firmware option in the set up menu and press OK to apply the firmware update.
Once the camera starts the update process, do not touch any buttons or try to turn off the camera. The update process is usually over in a couple of minutes.
